Khadijah Sultan to Muhammad ‘Ali Nizam Mafi (Salar Mu‘azzam)
Khadijah Sultan writes to her son, Muhammad ‘Ali Nizam Mafi (Salar Mu‘azzam), telling him that ‘Izzat al-Saltanah is doing well and, unlike what he thinks about her pregnancy, it was early and her husband's family were very eager for this. Also, since Muhammad ‘Ali Khan has asked for his mother's opinion on hiring a tutor, she suggests that he hire a chaste woman, so that Khadijah Sultan will not have to deal with her love affairs. She tells him that the tutor they hired in Farmanfarma's house has been obliged to wear a chador when she goes out.

Khadijah Sultan to Zahra Sultan ‘Izzat al-Saltanah
Khadijah Sultan writes to her daughter, Zahra Sultan ‘Izzat al-Saltanah, and complains that she has not heard from her. She then reports that Aqa [Riza Khan Nizam al-Saltanah] has become the governor of Kirmanshah and describes his preparations for travel and who will accompany him. She also mentions that Nizam al-Saltanah has not left them with enough money and did not even give her back the thousand and two hundred tumans he owed them.

She talks about Salar Muhtasham's telegrams from Tabriz and the unrest there. ‘Izzat al-Saltanah describes the renovations in the Baha’ al-Mulk's garden. On the opposite page there is a note in a different handwriting about choosing a place, probably for vacation.

Muhammad ‘Ali Nizam Mafi (Salar Mu‘azzam) writes to his sister, Zahra Sultan ‘Izzat al-Saltanah, telling her about his recreational activities in Finland after nine months of studying in St. Petersburg. He talks about the cholera epidemic in St. Petersburg and reassures his family that they are very far away from the epidemic. He is sorry that ‘Izzat al-Saltanah's teacher is leaving and advises his sister to practice from the books he had previously sent.

Riza Quli Khan Nizam al-Saltanah to Khadijah Sultan
Riza Quli Khan Nizam al-Saltanah writes to his wife, Khadijah Sultan, and mentions the battles he has been fighting with Qavam al-Mulk in Fars. He complains that his wife does not write often enough or is angry with him when she does. He talks about how lucky they are to have Farmanfarma's son as their son-in-law. S/he also talks about ‘Abbas Mirza and his charm; the second part or the second letter (opposite page) is addressed to the two brothers [by their maternal aunt]. She recounts how she had kept their mother's company in shopping for ‘Izzat al-Saltanah's dowry, her attendance at the wedding, and accompanying the bride to her new house.
